The Customer:
J. Schmalz GmbH is the global leader in the field of automation, handling, and clamping technology and offers innovative, efficient vacuum technology solutions to customers from a variety of industries.

The Challenge:
Schmalz employs over 850 staff worldwide, some 570 of which work at the company headquarters in Glatten. In spring 2015, Schmalz opened a new communications center at its headquarters which included a company restaurant. The company restaurant is a measure to further promote employees’ health and wellbeing and replaces the existing “Cook & Chill” ready-meal solution.

The Solution: 
Schmalz designed the company restaurant with the help of architects and a kitchen planner. FOODVISIONS was commissioned to develop the concept and manage its invitation to tender from the concept development stage to the contract design stage. The new company restaurant opened in March 2015.
